Hats off to fathers everywhere
Any man can become a father; but it takes someone extra special to be lovingly called Daddy. So it is on Sunday, June 20 we honor those men who claim labels like Father, Dad, Daddy, Papa, Pops or whatever special name the family has bestowed upon him. When thinking about the parents of a child, the mother is usually the one with the softer touch and voice. She is the one who adds sweetness to life with her unexpected hugs and chocolate chip cookies. The father is the true protector of his brood. He is the one who perhaps gently coaxes little ones to go to sleep, coaches his child’s team when the call arises and teaches the rules of life to his children. It’s the mom, however, who is usually the enforcer of these rules.
